Routes

There are several different routes that you can take to get to Uhuru Peak, but it is important to select the route that best fits you and your group. Our team can help set you up so you have the best chance to reach the top!

Machame (6-7 days)

A popular route that travels along a very scenic part of the mountain. Machame offers a good opportunity for acclimation, with around a 90% success rate.

Lemosho (7-8 days)

This route offers good acclimation by wrapping around the mountain, with great views, and a 92% success rate.

Marangu (5-6 days)

Relatively direct route that is less expensive, but does a poor job of acclimating the body before summit. The success rate is around 80%.

Northern Circuit (8-9 days)

The Northern Circuit is the longest and most secluded route, but it offers great acclimatization and a high success rate of 95%.

Rongai (6-7 days)

A remote and direct route that has good acclimatization, with a 87% success rate.

Umbwe (6-7 days)

A demanding route with poor opportunity for acclimatization. Umbwe has a success rate of 55%.
